Lourette, CEO of the growing Dermology group, is a highly experienced Laser Specialist with over 16 years’ experience in the industry. Today her clinics are found throughout South Africa, with a specialized team of laser therapists. Lourette obtained her qualifications at Isa Carstens in Stellenbosch in Somotology and proceeded to attend additional specialized courses in the aesthetic industry with a keen interest in laser & light. She has worked on board on the Celebrity Summit Cruise lines, before joining the 5* game reserve, Singita, as Spa Manager. After 5 years of living in the Kruger National Park and Sabie Sand Wildtuin, she moved to Johannesburg and joined Dermology as they opened their doors as Practice Manager in 2013. Today she is the proud owner of the brand she poured her heart and soul into, multiple national and international award winner leader in the aesthetics industry and KOL for Sciton.

Lourette attends multiple congresses as speaker, nationally and internationally throughout the year, to present on topics such as laser & light, business growth, management, and social media. She has trained various establishments, therapists and Doctors in laser & light, she often writes articles for well-known magazines & blogs and can be found on social media representing her business. Being a driven businesswomen and team leader, Lourette is also a wife of her wildlife photographer husband and mom of her two children.

Sandra has many years of experience in the beauty industry, running Front of House and Guest Relations. Being a mom of 5, Sandra’s proactiveness and go-getter attitude shines through. When you visit Dermology, Sandra will take charge of your Dermology experience, making it an unforgettable one in your journey to your future skin.

Liza joined the Dermology family in 2018, after returning from working on big International Cruise Liners for many years. Liza brings experience and excellent client care to our team, having over 10 years’ experience. She is a fully qualified and trained Aesthetic laser therapist, with a big passion for our industry. Liza specializes in treatments such as Laser, Chemical Peels and Laser resurfacing and loves to treat skin conditions such as pigmentation and acne.

In 2021 Liza took the lead in opening our Cape Winelands branch in the beautiful setting of Val de Vie estate in Paarl.

Recently she relocated to the coast to open and manage our Dermology Ballito branch. Her attention to detail and thorough approach to her work, makes her an excellent therapist and future leader.

Nomsa is a qualified Somatologist with both local and international qualifications, and has over 16 years of experience in her respective industry. She always knew she wanted to work in an innovative industry, that impacts people's lives (even in the smallest of ways). She has made it her life's goal, to elevate and educate herself in advanced Skincare, Laser and Light technologies. With this drive and passion, she has always managed to position herself with the best companies and minds the industry has to offer. Her passion goes beyond just treating patients needs, but also educating them on their ever so changing skin journeys. A young mother and wife, she goes over and beyond to look after her family and this spills over to her patients. Nomsa joined the Dermology Family in 2021 as Laser & Skin Therapist, bringing years of experience and knowledge to our team.

Theresa is an internationally qualified laser and skincare specialist. She graduated with honours from Camelot International and was awarded top practical and theoretical student. A real gem in our Dermology team, since 2017. She has since been in the industry for many years applying her wealth of knowledge and experience to every treatment and has mastered the art of all the treatments on offer at Dermology which includes laser, chemical peels and aesthetic treatments. Theresa often writes articles for the Dermology Blog and recently presented at the Professional Beauty congress. Theresa was recently promoted to clinic manager of Dermology Sandton in 2022 and has made it her goal to assist in growing the business to reach its full potential. Theresa has a true passion for skincare, bringing a caring approach to each and every patient. She is dedicated to her work and thrives off of delivering the best possible results to each treatment

Having worked for accredited 5 star spa’s for many years, she gained superior excellence in the industry in the front of house department. Lisa’s main goal is to ensure each of our patients are being treated like the guest of honour they deserve to be. She works extremely well under pressure, loves problem solving and delivers her duties with exceptional professionalism. She goes over and beyond for our patients and for our team, to ensure the day runs smoothly and effectively.

Caitlin joined our Dermology Family in January 2019, after having many years of experience in running the Front Desk of a well known 5* spa group. She has since grown into an incredibly strong and determined woman. Having worked on international cruise lines, she gained exceptional guest service experience, which she now applies at Dermology. Her administration and organisational skills are exceptional, and shows clearly in the daily running of our business. Caitlin brings a high standard of professionalism and client care to our clinic.

The Dermology family welcomed Liezel in 2021 as the bubbly skin and laser specialist in Cape Town, with a love for laser and a heart for everyone she treats. Liezel runs our Western Cape branch, in the heart of the Cape Winelands, inside the beautiful Val de Vie estate. She graduated from her Post-Graduate studies with Honours to compliment her existing international qualifications and to pursue a career in Laser and Medical Aesthetic Therapies. After working at a 5 star Game Lodge in Madikwe for a year after her studies, she joined a start-up sunless tanning company as their client liaison, marketing executive and product trainer. Her path in laser and aesthetic treatments started in 2011 at a prominent laser clinic under the care of two cosmetic Dermatologists, where she built a diverse career over the last decade as medical aesthetic skin therapist, senior laser therapist, assistant to the doctor, professional trainer and product representative liaison. Liezel pays great attention to detail and is keen to educate her patients regarding the advancements in skin health; both medically and holistically. She enjoys treating Rosacea and Pigmentation disorders, making BBL and Moxi the ideal fit for her.

Akwande is an internationally qualified Somatologist with a B-Tech Degree from Durban University of Technology. While finishing off her B-Tech Degree, I mentored 2 classes of 1st year Somatology Students at Durban University of Technology.

Akwande joined our Dermology Ballito family in 2023, bring with her 6 years’ experience of working in the health and skincare industry, 3 of those years were worked with an Aesthetic Dr, assisting with all procedures, chemical peels, all other treatments offered.

One of her favorite treatments to do, is the Dr Schrammek Green Peel because it has the ability to help with treating most patients skin concerns. She loves the work she is able to do on a daily basis because she is able to help people regain their self-esteem and get their smiles back, looking at them happy and in awe of their skin melts her heart.

Akwande is confident in her ability and skills to help those that struggle with their skins to regain the confidence that was once lost.

Anja joined our Dermology Sandton family in 2022 and has never looked back since. Anja qualified from Isa Carstens Academy as a health and skincare therapist and has chosen to broaden her knowledge and skillset by completing the advanced diploma in somatology.

After completing her studies, Anja worked at a Dermatologists practice, assisting with procedures and patient care post treatment.

Her past work experiences led Anja to gain a passion for Aesthetics, as the industry is ever growing and changing to find better ways to help those that struggle with long- and short-term skin conditions. Her love for working with people to assist with treating their skin concerns to restore their self-confidence fills her heart with content.

Anja’s favorite treatment offered at Dermology is the Clear-V laser, which is used in the treatment of vascular conditions. Their complex nature is something that has always been intriguing to her.

At Dermology, Anja inspires to grow as an individual and build her knowledge on the skin, to get the best possible results for her patients. Anja is self-driven and will always give her all to everything she does, making her an exceptional therapist and asset to our business.

Angelique Engelbrecht is a highly enthusiastic and dedicated somatologist, who has garnered exceptional praise and commendations from clients and colleagues. With over 14 years of experience in the Health and Beauty sector, Angelique has demonstrated her expertise and proficiency at both somatology and the art of laser therapy. She has worked both as a team member in esteemed salons and as a manager of her own salon in Zambia.

In addition to her extensive knowledge and experience, Angelique prides herself in creating a personalized experience for all her clients, and guides them throughout their journey to beauty and confidence with the warmth and compassion that they all so much deserve.

Charvy joined our Dermology Winelands family in May 2022 after graduating from Isa Carstens with 3 distinctions.

Charvy has experience working in salons and spas based in Cape Town as well as KZN. She has grown and learnt from her past experiences to expand her knowledge in understanding both the practical and business sides of how the health and skincare industry works. She also has an interest in seeing how the positive, psychological and physiological effects that treatments, such as laser, have on people.

Charvy studied Business Management for over 3 years, bringing an organized and positive environment to Dermology Winelands.

Charvy gained additional experience working in retail and sales, whilst enjoying incorporating those skills to expand her treatment and product knowledge so that everyone that visits Dermology Winelands feels comfortable.

In fact, this stokes her fire. Jessica can be described as having a tender, serving practice that fosters a genuine desire to guide you in your journey.
