What will BBL™ Forever Young treatment do?
Forever Young BBL™ technology utilizes the power of phototherapy to deliver excellent results in photo rejuvenation. By selecting the appropriate wavelength or filter, your skin specialist will be able to treat your skin effectively to get smoother, more vibrant skin and a more youthful appearance.
How does BBL™ Forever Young work?
The light energy delivered by the BBL™ will gently heat up the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen. This photo rejuvenation will help restore your skin to its natural beauty by smoothing out an uneven skin tone, removing dark spots and stimulating collagen. In addition the photo thermal energy will target and eliminate many of the broken veins that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmentation and an uneven skin tone.
Which areas can be treated?
All areas of the body can be treated with Forever Young BBL™. It’s mostly done on the Face, Neck, Chest and Hands for a youthful appearance and long term result.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend to do Forever Young BBL™ as part of your maintenance program. Once you have reached your skin goals, Forever Young BBL™ can be done twice a year to achieve long term rejuvenation.
How long will it take for me to recover?
BBL™ or IPL photo rejuvenation procedures are non-invasive and gentle procedures with virtually no recovery time. In most cases you will be able to return to work, apply make-up, and resume most of your activities right away.
What should I expect after the treatment?
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. Your treated skin will feel smoother, fine wrinkles and pores will be less noticeable and sun spots, dark spots and uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated. Your skin specialist will recommend the best options during consultation.
What will happen during the procedure?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. You may briefly feel a rubber band snap or warm sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. Your procedure may take a few minutes to half an hour depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of the procedure that is performed.Your skin specialist will discuss all of your options with you.
Will I need aftercare?
It is important to follow our instructions. You may be given some skin care products and instructions on how to use them. These will minimize your risk of inflammation or redness and ensure the shortest healing time. You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and you must avoid direct sun exposure to the sun until fully healed. Fully cover your skin or use a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
