-Uneven skin texture and color.
What to expect during my Skinbrite Peel
The skin will be effectively cleansed and before photos will be taken prior to your peel. Your treatment before pictures will assist us in tracking your treatment results and sets the starting point of your skins journey.
The skin will then be de-greased to remove residual oils from the skin to ensure for a clean working surface and better product penetration.
The Skinbrite peel solution is applied over the entire face, paying close attention to the highly pigmented areas of the skin. The skin will feel a slight burn when the peel peaks, this usually lasts between 2-3 minutes, after that point the skin will calm down. The peel is then left on the skin to be absorbed and can be layered according to your skin type and concerns.
A SkinBrite Solution is then applied as it doubles up as a leave on depigmenting solution. This will assist in evening out the skin tone, prevents PIH and regulates oil secretions.
A layer of Retinol is then applied and is then left on the skin for 6-8 hours as this will slowly be absorbed throughout the day/evening to promote drying which will cause peeling/flaking of the skin.
A powered SPF is then lightly dusted over the Retinol to ensure protection against incidental sun exposure throughout the day.
What to Expect Post Peel
Day 1: The skin may be flushed with possible redness. The skin will feel slightly warm and tingly once the peel has been applied.
Day 2: The skin may feel tight and appear a shade or two slightly darker/grey. It is completely normal for the skin to feel dry as well.
Day 3-7: The skin will begin to peel around the mouth/nose/chin area, moving upward and outward to the rest of the face until peeling is complete. You can apply your post treatment balm as needed throughout your peeling process. Do not pick or pull lifted skin as this can create PIH and infection may set in.
Day 8-10: There may be light flaking around the perimeters of the face. At this point you can slowly start to re-introduce retinols/BHA/AHA and discontinue use of the post treatment balm unless the skin is still slightly irritated.

This course of treatment is often recommended to be done during the winter months as we usually more protected from sun exposure and can be done once per year.
