Vascular lesions are any lesions that consist of blood vessels and are usually the consequence of recurrent or bulky blood vessels that appear under the epidermis. This often results in a ruddy appearance in the skin due to the fact that the blood vessels are easily visible through the top layer of skin. Vascular lesions are usually reddish in appearance in the skin due to the fact that the blood vessels are easily noticeable through the epidermis.
Visually, vascular lesions come in a multiplicity of shapes and sizes, which can appear all over the body and can manifest in port wine stains, broken capillaries, cherry angiomas as well as hemangiomas.
