PRP Vampire Facelift
There are 3 signs of aging:
Skin colour becomes grey due to less blood flow
Face shape starts to sag and droop due to muscle and collagen decrease
Skin texture is less smooth
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is GOLD, your OWN gold!
PRP is the part of the blood that is rich in growth and repairing factors (active proteins) essential for tissue regeneration and healing. These growth factors mimic the body’s natural wound healing process. During this process collagen, elastin and new blood vessels are increased, and damaged skin repaired and regenerated. Collagen is what gives skin a youthful appearance but as we age collagen production is reduced, causing wrinkles and fine lines. To rejuvenate your skin these growth factors must be injected into your skin to create new collagen for vibrant skin that looks refreshed and glowing.
Is it sore?
Our Doctor manages pain levels with relevant anaesthetic methods. Whether the Vampire Facelift will be injected or worked in through the skin topically, the whole process will be completely manageable.
How often should the Vampire Facelift be performed and when to expect to see results?
The best results show when you have your 2nd treatment 2 – 3 weeks after your initial treatment. After the two initial treatments, Vampire Facelift is performed every 4 months (3x a year). If you are also doing injectable such as dermal fillers or botulinum toxin as part of your anti-aging rejuvenation regime, Vampire Facelift is recommended 1 – 2 weeks before or after your treatment.
How does it work?
-The Doctor draws a small volume of blood from the patient’s arms just like a standard blood test
-The blood is placed into a centrifuge and spins the blood at a rapid rate to separate the platelet rich plasma from the other components of the blood.
-The platelet rich plasma is injected into the area required using a very fine needle
-The procedure is performed after local anaesthetic cream that has been applied to minimise any discomfort
-The procedure is usually an hour. Patients may have some subtle skin redness after the procedure. Recovery time is less than 24 hours.
