When it comes to anti-ageing, skin confidence, and long-term results, there’s no single “magic treatment” that does it all.
Instead, the real magic happens when injectables and advanced laser & skin treatments are strategically combined—each doing what the other can’t.
At Dermology, we believe in tailored, layered skincare strategies that work in harmony to deliver smoother, firmer, more even-toned skin—naturally and progressively.
So, how do Botulinum Toxin, fillers, and lasers actually work together? And how should you time them for the best results?
Let’s break it down.
What Injectables Do That Lasers Don’t
Botulinum Toxin and dermal fillers are medical injectables that treat very specific concerns:
-
Botulinum Toxin relaxes muscle activity to prevent or reduce expression lines (think frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead creases).
-
Fillers restore lost volume in areas like the cheeks, lips, temples and under-eyes, or contour areas like the chin and jawline.
But here’s the thing: not all injectables treat your skin.
They don’t help with:
✖ Pigmentation
✖ Redness or inflammation
✖ Skin laxity
✖ Texture issues
✖ Acne scarring
✖ Pore size
That’s where your laser and skin treatments come in.
What Laser & Skin Treatments Do That Injectables Can’t
At Dermology, we use a range of Sciton laser and light treatments like BBL HERO, MOXI, HALO, and Profractional, alongside clinical skin treatments like microneedling, exosomes, and peels.
These treatments work on the skin quality itself—boosting collagen, resurfacing texture, reducing pigmentation, and improving overall clarity.
So, while injectables smooth and lift, laser and skin treatments strengthen and correct. Together, they’re a power couple for skin that looks youthful, healthy, and naturally refreshed.
Timing Is Everything – Here’s What You Need to Know
To get the most out of both treatment types (and avoid any unnecessary downtime or complications), here’s the correct order and timing:
Laser or skin treatment first → injectables afterward
You can safely receive Botulinum Toxin or fillers immediately after your skin or laser treatment on the same day.
Injectables first? Wait 2 weeks before laser
If you’ve had Botulinum Toxin or filler done recently, you’ll need to wait at least 14 days before we can safely perform laser or microneedling. This ensures the injectable has settled properly and avoids displacement or irritation.
